Anyone use or know anything about these Novak cable-operated t-case shifters?

Never seen them. I used the Terra linkage on Green. Mounts to the t-case rather than the body. All stock stuff goes away. Uses threaded rod and 2 hiem joints and spacers, thats it.

I ordered it last weekend. I'll give an update when I get it installed. Looks like it should help smooth out shifting.

Looks to be an even better set up than the Terra. Is not limited by the length of the rod and amount of flex in the joints as the tera is.

Have you installed the shifter yet Fred? I've looked at Novak's web site and the shifter looks pretty good. Had some problems gettin up the hill at Prarie city due to linkage and thought about you buying that shifter awhile back.

I don't know how I missed this thread the first time around. I'm interested in how it turned out for you as well, Fred.

I got it installed. It shifts well, although I've only had it on the street so far.

Good enough for me, I ordered it. 🙂 Thanks Fred.
I checked out some reviews also and it sounded like thats what I needed to fix the problem.

All paid for with a Visa gift card. Thank you Santa!

OK, now we are waiting for feedback from both Fred and Rick. I'm anxious.

Here you go Tom.

Installation was pretty straight forward. Myself I removed the drivers seat to get at the bolts inside along with front drive line,motor/trans and transfer case skids. Had some unrelated work to do in those areas any way and it did make it alot easier to do the shifter. I have a Teraflex 2wd low range besides the 4 to 1. Shifting with the stock set-up, if it was'nt for the light in the dash I would'nt know if I was in 2 low or 4 low. The stock set up was in some what of a bind, pulling the shifter into low range takes a bit of a yank putting it past were I wanted to be. Testing it today, it works great. If the light in the dash ever burns out it won't matter because I can feel the four detents in the shifter. Like Fred I've only tested this on road(dirt)but with it being a cable set up I don't believe any flex offroad would change anything.
I believe it was money well spent on Santa's part(gift card).

I too have been interested in the 4:1 and 4-Lo for all the obvious reasons. Actually have thought about putting money there before going to lockers. Need to get the prices figured out again for the upgrades to the NP231 and see if there is someone willing to help me open up the ransomer case. Probably do some additional maintenance while in there.

I'd stick with the lockers first. I had my lockers done by a shop and did my transfer case myself at the same time. I'd give you a hand when your ready for the tranfer case work. :hack: 😛

Right on ... sounds like the plan continues to take shape.
