Anyone have personal or REALLY close 2nd hand experience using their bumpers as "air tanks"?

I've heard of it being done and seen them built but not familiar with how successful they are in actual use.

Ran my TJ with a front bumper air tank for 10 years. It was still on it when I sold it.

The main problem I had was getting rid of all the small leaks initially. After that, I sanded everything smooth and never had any problems. a TJ front stubby bumper held .75 gallons of air and made a perfect reservior for my electric compressor.

I forgot to mention my bumber was .250 wall so it could take a beating on the trail without a failure risk.
