John I don’t know if this is going to help or not but if you have a remote power steering reservoir sometimes they have a screen that gets plugged up and cause the power steering to howl or make noise I had this problem on a Chrysler minivan I change the power steering pump and the power steering rack neither of which fix the problem turned out a brand new $15 reservoir from Chrysler quieted it down
Now THAT'S something I can look into... Thanks.

My Jeep is at WFO now, they will be changing the screen in the reservoir.
I hope this fixes the annoying problem. I was just getting into the wheeling season with out trip to Deer Valley, and then had to get a bunch of stuff fixed. Kind of wasted the whole season for me. But... hopefully it's going to be great for next year!!!

I wonder if I saw it up there and didn't know it was yours. I was up there yesterday picking up a tie rod I had them make for me. Its always nice to see some older Jeeps being worked on like that CJ parked out front and that Sacrambler thats been there a couple weeks.

Just to make you feel better, I just had to replace my power steering pump...these mall miles are killing my jeep.
Ya. Don't go on any real trails or you'll have to replace your transfer case, motor mounts, and everything attached to the front of your motor. They just don't make 'em like they used to. I want my TJ back!!!

They put the new box in and now it's fixed...
However, they are suggesting I go to hydro assist to keep it from breaking again. Apparently, they have gotten calls on other PSC Big Box and Pump combos, even with 37s. So, the ruling is that they work fantastic... until they don't. For those of you considering this upgrade, don't bother unless you plan to run hydro assist, in which case you don't need the BIG stuff... so just don't.

The Jeep is getting the ram put on this week...
Wow!
You’re going all in. Congrats!
I don't really have a choice...
I need the ram to take the pressure off of the weak PSC steering products.
And I don't want to pay those guys at WFO another $1,000 just to find the defective part they installed.

Hopefully WFO is installing Howe products for you instead of that PSC stuff.
All PSC...
I'm hoping the ram will help it last.
Hopefully it will make it much more reliable. Seems like with PSC, 1/2 the people either get great products with never a problem, while the other half have issues that linger on.

Agreed. I have 50k on a PSC with no issues but my college roommate had issues from day one. And every time I touch a power steering pump I have some leak that requires replacing an o-ring.
