What trail section gives you the BIGGEST Pucker Factor?

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Easy...the off camber section on Fordyce. There are other tricky spots on other trails, but if you screw up on that one, you're headed a long way down the hill.

I'm also not a big fan of that one section on the Rubicon near Buck Island. Last time I went through there it felt pretty bad. Of course, it was during the Midnight Rubicon and I was pretty tired.

I don't like this spot either because it proves that I shouldn't drive while tired and that one bad line through and easy spot could ruin your whole day. 😀

The off camber spot on Cadilac Hill still demands my attention. That spot will always pucker me.

The razor back on Jack Hammer was scary to look at but was fine while driving it.

The ledge on Fordyce doesn't bother me as much as it used to. I guess after running it while it was covered in ice cured me of being afraid while it's dry.

The biggest pucker for me would have to be the razor back on Jack Hammer. (I actually chickened out and Cabin Boy drove it. embarassed )

Then the ledge on Fordyce.

The off camber spot near Buck Island scared me the first time but, I heard it has been built up and is not as bad.

I'd say that off-camber spot on Fordyce would be my biggest fear zone. I know that spot you're talking about on Cadillac John and it's always gotten my attention as well. First time I went through it, my front end kept sliding over and it scared the bejesus out of me!!

The off camber spot on fordyce for me. I tried it in the snow once and the front driver tire was sliding off the snow bank. Then the last fordyce run i could hear rocks rolling down the hill when my tire went twords the ledge. That was a bit scary.

There was also that time on Fordyce with John and Brad where I was on the end of a strap and Brad was pulling me up that ledge. Front tire dropped in a hole and the back was pulling up over the front, thought I was going over for sure!

Are you talking about the bottom of Cadilac right after that sharp turn to the right? IF so, that got my attention and probably will every time I run it.

I'm talking about up near the S-Turn where it's off camber and then you need to hop over the little rock with your right tire 😯

You guys with your Rubicon, Fordyce, and Hammers stories!!!

The real Carnage can be found in Strawberry!!! That trail gives you a false sense of security like none other.

Just try that trail in the snow with a short arm lift, 33" tires and open diffs . . . Woohoo!!!!

The only time Cadillac has really gotten me worried is when I was towing Larry up it. He moved me sideways a few feet and I thought I was gone for sure. Other than that, I think its bark is worse than its bite.

The same section on Cadillac that John is talking about. Not sure why, but it doesn't sit well with me. The ledges on Fordyce don't bother me. I have been over them 30 or 40 times, so I know what to expect, plus having full width axles doesn't hurt either 😀

That curve and the little rock is exactly the spot I was thinking of...

I think the reason that I think Fordyce is worse is that I'm on the downhill side so I can see how far the fall is. On Cadillac, I'm blissfully ignorant of how far down it is. 😀

What part of the Rubicon are you talking about? Is the trail, just past where we camp at buck island? That part didn't bother me.

Fordyce seemed worse to me, but still not that bad.

Last year during our Rubicon Round-Up that section was pretty puckery! We put straps on most of the rigs with several of us manning the strap as ballast to get through there. I think it's been worked on some since then.

Being on the end of that strap aged me 10 years that day..... 😕

The off camber spot on Fordyce also.

Yes, at night I have more confidence because I can't see how steep it is and I'm dumb enough to try it.

During the day my eyes inform my ego not to try it again 😉

Closed Mondays.

I don't pucker much I guess about off camber spots, but Winch Hill 1 and the 3 bypass got my heart going.

The ledge was not bad this last time. Top of winch hill 1 did it for me. (tricky line)
