So I drained the rear diff on my toyota. It has a magnetic drain plug. I found some metal on the magnet. It looks like a shredded washer. Any suggestions on what I should do? The rear limited slip works fine and the rear end doesn't make any noise, or leak

Leave it as is?
Take things apart?

I agree. I can get a complete TRD rear end for $800, so why pay 300-400 to work on it!

I'd at least open it up and check to see if there is anything obviously wrong. Don't those have drop-out 3rd's? If something looks obviously wrong, I'd just bring the drop out 3rd member up to a diff shop to have it checked out.

From the pictures we've seen, I don't think Keane does either. 😮

I'd forgot it was easy to pull. I could quickly take a look to see if anything needs to be done. If there is a problem, I could probably grab a center from a wrecking yard.
