My F-150 has no recovery point in the rear. I was thinking about buying a receiver hitch recovery shackle. Is this a good idea? If so, does anyone have recommendations as to which one to buy and where I can get one? Any other ideas to add recovery point(s) on a stock 2010 F-150?

Offline That should work just fine. You can get them at On Th Road Trucks on Taylor Rd in Rocklin or 4Wheel Parts on El Camino in Sac. Or online of course. I'd call ahead to make sure they have them in stock for your receiver.

Offline If I recall correctly you are in Acampo. There is a 4 wheel parts in Stockton that should have some. Harbor freight normally has some but you really need to look at them and check the ratings as some of them are garbage. Sometimes Napa auto parts has some stuff. Worst case I have a reciver hook you can barrow

Yea I know it's harbor fright. Rated at 10,000lbs only $10, better than having nothing.
If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.
