OK, this has gone on long enough so I'm going to change out the main seal. From all I've read and seen it doesn't appear to be a horrific project. I've decided to remove the front axle altogether to get access and do some cleanup at the same time.

Aside from the bearing seal and pan gasket, anything else I should do while in there? The engine has ~160K miles.

As I have none, I will take you up on your kind offer. That would negate the need for a pan gasket, correct?

You will still need the pan gasket and some RTV. I'll bring the mopar stuff to the meeting this week.

The Mopar gasket maker is for sealing the main seal inside the pan.
