I figured I'd start a new topic since this isn't about RE rubber bushings.

I got the Rokmen rear control arms installed today. The arms are well made, but seem to be a little long. I've got most of them set as short as they'll go and they're still a bit longer than the RE control arms I had on the Jeep. I may end up having some clearance issues between the diff cover and the Kilby gas tank skid. This may be a good excuse for a GenRight tank.

On the road I don't notice any additional vibration or harshness from the Johnny Joints. The rear suspension feels much tigher than it did with the worn out RE rubber bushings. But it still didn't get rid of all my Detroit Locker quirkiness. I don't think there's any way around it, I'm just going to have to get the ARB locker.

I did have to drill out the rear upper axle end control arm mounts to 7/16" to fit the new greaseable bolts. They didn't say to drill out the frame end, but the joints fit a 7/16" bolt nicely and were sloppy with the factory metric bolts. I ended up drilling out the frame end too to install a properly fitting bolt.

The Rokmen control arms did prove to be too long despite shifting the gas tank back a bit. Last weekend I pulled the control arms off and cut off about 1/2" of the outer tubing with my chop saw & metal cutting blade. Fortunately the threads inside the tubing were cut 1/2" deeper than needed for the original length so the shank on the Johnny Joints didn't need to be cut too. I still need to remove the rear springs and let the suspension fully compress to confirm adequate clearance, but I think it should be ok now.
