Thanks for posting that. I just replaced my rear bushings and they are already loose. RE bushings are just terrible. I'm sure Daystar will be better, they just can't help but be better...even if they suck they'll be better.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Very nice quote - I'm guessing you didn't know that all RE poly bushings are made by daystar. The only excption was a 6 month period where they tried China junk bushings. RE then warranteed all those if you asked them and you got Daystar bushings in return.

My rear arms had the china bushings when I had them converted to fixed length. Luckily I had Extreme put them in, so they swapped the new ones in for free (this was more than a couple years ago).

Solve all your problems and do like me, as the RE crap wears out, replace it with higher quality products. Just remember though, unless all you do is drive on the street, everyones bushings will wear out eventually. Rubber and or Poly will wear out if you are constantly flexing and compressing them. Heims wear out, Jonny joints wear out, etc!!!!

True. But the mall has put in some new curb stops in the last few years and I have been getting some mad flex on them.

Larry, this may be of interest. They look A LOT like the RE springs and will be shipping in June.

They were the small bushings and the trackbar bushings.

Not sure, but it's the same price that RE had on their site.

Sorry that I don't ride RE's "you know what" like some of you do.
So, I don't keep up with where they get their crappy materials.

from the dead. Need to replace the bushings on my Cherokee for my brother. I only have lower RE arms and the uppers are stock. Can I bring the arms down to RE and have them replace the bushings for free?? I had the lift on the cherokee maybe 1 year.

Good luck with that lol

If you try that, take Joe or Brad with you. They are the only guys I know that can get RE to warranty anything.

RE went through bankruptcy and has a new owner in the last year. I doubt you will have any success.

I used to go down there and they would give me bushings to put in myself. New busings are 2-piece for the larger ones and very easy to install. The smaller bushings can be installed with a vice if they are poly and the tool kit if they are RE bushings.

All poly bushings are made by Poly performance and are good quality. I'm not sure what you are trying to replace...

Im trying to replace my lower control arm bushings on my brothers XJ. I was wondering if they would warranty them.. but apparently not. Ill just order poly bushings for the uppers and RE lowers.

My contact died with the buyout. Am having new arms made. Rears are done, waiting for the fronts. I am going to try a little of everything. Johnny, ballistic fab, heim's and metal cloak.Plan to start with heims at the bellypan and one with some give in it on the axle. I am told that the new (2nd gen) poly is very close to the ones I tested in the past. The first ones were as bad as the rubber and neoprene ones of resent past. Have seen both,I think you will notice a big difference in how long they last.

No he didn't! Your new contact is Marc at 4wheel parts. He will warranty your bushings but won't install them for you. Be sure to ask for him and tell him your from our club!

For you pro American guys out there. All RE parts are us fabbed and us assembled.

I have a JK with a RE lift. My rear upper bushings cracked. RE gave me replacement bushings. Got them this week. Send me a PM and I will give you the details.

Good to hear. They've always stood behind my bushing warranty as well. 4-wheel parts is even better now that they're the owner.
