In the past the GHP has volunteered at a winch hill for Sierra Trek. That has been quite a while but they reached out to us because of a shortage of volunteers for their upcoming event. Here are some details:
==================================
We need help with the following areas:
• Refrigerated Truck Driver - pickup from Ryder in West Sacramento, drive to Sysco, Costco etc. 6-7 hour commitment one day – August 4th or 5th
• Refrigerated Truck Driver - return to Ryder in West Sacramento August 9th or 10th.
• Transportation Drivers - any person that could pull a trailers to Meadow Lake on Aug 1st
• Transportation Drivers - any person that could pull a trailers back to the Cal4Wheel office on Aug 9th
• Thursday Dinner Crew - 5 to 7 people (any amount is welcome) Arrive 3PM, Finish 9PM
• Saturday Breakfast Crew - 5 to 7 people (any amount is welcome)
• In Camp Games/Activities - We have someone leading this. We only need a few extra folks to help on the Saturday of the event to run a couple of the activities. Cornhole, Marshmellow golf, oversized tricycle race, lawn darts, kids inflatable slide, etc.
• Help with setup and tear down and the end of the event/Sunday morning
• Kitchen Coordinator - morning shift
• Kitchen Coordinator - evening shift
Thank you so much!!

As you can see there are seveal areas and several different timing requirements. If anyone, or the club may be interested here, please post back and we will discuss this further!

Haven't a clue what this, need to look it up so don't want to volunteer for something we can't follow up on. Been too busy to look it up but will make a point to do so it soon. ok?
Brad, we spent some time looking at this amazing event on the internet. Wow! I dont know what our schedule looks like in August but if we can get some free time we would love to help in sime way or another. We will let you know.

Pulled a box trailer up there Saturday for Cal 4 Wheel. Neat drive once you turn off 89. Trailer wasn't new but had new tires and a spare. 5 pin wiring didn't match my 5 to 7 adapter but no issues getting it there without trailer brakes. It was impressive to see the size of some of the rigs people had drug back in there.
