Vent on:
I just went to try and install my new dual rate Swayloc on the front of my Jeep. Well, the inner torsion bar is machined wrong. 😡 😡 😡 It's not splined, it's machined with a flat spot that the arm slides over and the flat spots are off by 30 degrees which means if I put one arm where it needs to be, the other one will be 30 degrees up or down. 😡 😡 😡 I sure hope their customer service is better than their machine work when I call tomorrow. (Unless I'm missing something, but I don't see any other way to mount them). 😡 😡 😡
Vent off:
This thing would be cool if I could use it.

Justin, That is not how they are supposed to be. The inner torsion bar is not splined but has a flat spot machined in the same spot on both sides. I believe the flat spot faces the rear.
If you are worried about customer service, I would talk to Brad. His broke on the Strawberry last year. He had it replaced. He can fill you in on the details.
I love mine! On the street, It's a little looser than stock. Off road, I feel a lot more control and less of those "PUCKER" moments. Good Luck

There is no way to even mount the arms on the way it is machined. The flat spots have to line up for the arms to go on. If I line up one side, then the other sides flat spots are 30 degrees off from each other and you can't put the arm on.
If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. 🙁

I think Brad and Rob have both dealt with their customer service. I ordered it from Quadratec so if ORO won't help me, I'll call up Quadretec and see if they can.

I have the newer style (now) like Justin's. Rob is correct that they do not have to be parallel. Mine did come out parallel and it works fine.
Their customer service was fine. I had to wait a while for the parts, and their "warranty" was actaully just a discount for returning the old parts that broke.
Quadratek has good service as well so either would be fine. I'd suggest dealing with ORO, especially if the parts drop shipped rather than coming from the company warehouse.

Justin, I can machine a new flat spot and weld up and turn the old one away. But that should be the backup plan. They should replace it.

Thanks for the offer. 8)
I just got off the phone with ORO. I left a message and they called me back within 15 minutes but, they basically don't believe me. They want to see pictures before they send out a replacement. 😯 The guy I talked to is the machinist and couldn't believe that he would make this kind of mistake. He said they need to be within 1 degree of each other for it to work. Like I said, there is no way to mount the arms in this configuration. He was extremely nice so hopefully I make positive progress in trying to get this resolved.

Sadly this is day 5 of being in bed and not feeling much better yet..I hope we can get to it over the next couple weeks. If you want, you can bring it over and park it in my garage and we can work on a couple hours each night..

Sadly, my mechanic has the virus and can't get to fixin' my Jeep yet But, I promise to have my Jeep fixed before all the snow runs are over--which should be mid July 😛

They really need to start putting warning lables on alcohol that say, " Do not work with machinery while under the influence." 😯
