Taking my Jeep to the welder next week. We are stretching it another 4 inches. He is building me new longer arms, and we are notching the frame to insert the spring buckets. Two weeks from now, I should be at about 101 inches 8) ........4 1/2 inch lift, 83 1/2 inches wide and 101 inches long...Hammers here I come πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Nice! Good low center of mass. How much tire can you fit with 4.5" and trimming?

There is minimal difference between the RE 4.5" and the RE 5.5" springs. Not really a Low COG wink

From what I recall, a 1" body lift, plus 4.5" springs will about equal 5.5" springs.

I can say that 5.5" springs and a 1" body lift are the same as 7.5" springs and no body lift.

When I swapped in Rob's 5.5" springs for my 4.5" springs, I had to adjust my ACOS down about 2" to get the same level I was sitting at before.

When I installed my 5.5 inch springs I gained exactly 3/4". Brad and I measured before and after. Also, TJ Dan got the same numbers when he swapped. I'm sure there are variances between springs and you could get anywhere from a 1/2" gain to a 3" gain.

I went and measured where my Jeep used to rub on the soft top as I pulled in my garage when I had the 5.5 springs on it. I now have 4 1/4 inches of clearance there. Take in mind that my rear springs are off center. When I notch my frame and move the spring buckets, I will drop another inch or so. In the front when I put the 4.5Ò€ℒs on, I added an additional 1 1/2 inch spacer, so when I remove it, my front will drop even further. I would estimate that I am close to 4 inches lower with the 4.5 springs. DonÒ€ℒt ask me how, but it is fact.

I decided to take out some more fender for the stretch this weekend. I should have plenty of room now πŸ˜€

The Jeep went under the knife today. I hope to have it back by mid week.

Is there much metal left for the fronts of the rear flares to bolt up to?
