A 33/12.5 BFG KM2. An 15/8 or 15/10 wheel. Which one and why ? I've ordered tire & wheel package already, but due to a back order I have time to change width of wheels. (having second thoughts) idea

8" No question. It will hold the bead better when aired down.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

X2!!!!

a 12.50 tire on a 10 inch rim will limit how much you can air down..15 pounds would be pushing it before you increase your chances of unbeading a tire..On snow runs, you want to be able to run between 4 and 8 pounds. You would never be able to do that on a 10 inch rim. If you were going to run beadlocks then I would say go with the 10 for the extra width.

Yes, I agree with the previous two responses. Without question, the 8" wide rim would be my choice.

I 100% agree on the 8", but not Rob's minimum. Eric continually shocks me with how low he gets away with running his 12.5" tires on a 10" rim. He ran the Rubicon last week at about 6-8 psi on a 37x12.50 MTR on a 10" rim. Either way, I'd be more comfortable with an 8".

I've seen Justin run pretty low pressure with his 10" rims. But, it's probably always in the back of his mind that an 8" rim would be more fool-proof.

Yeah, I have been running around 8psi on my 10" rims and the whole time I am thinking "I really need beadlocks". I think I have been lucky.

🙂 Thanks for the input. My order was changed to 8 inch wide today when I picked up the currie steering set-up. 😀
