I'm shopping for tires for my FJ, want to go with 35's, I'm looking at
Nitto - Trail Grapplers
BF Goodrich - M/T T/A KM2
Toyo - Open Country M/T
Any thoughts?

Goodyear MT/R's are very popular. The Toyo's seem to be good tires.

Even though it's not on your list, I'm going to go with Fred's suggestion of the MT/Rs. After that my vote would go to the Toyos.

I think everyone has their opinion, and it depends on what you plan to do. Is the FJ still a relatively daily driver?

I am not a fan of the BFG's becuase their sidewall seeems to cut very easy. The Nittos (if they are the ones with the "sideways" tread blocks) wear fast and aren't very good at anything, plus they make a lot of road noise.

Like John and Fred say, the other two are ok. I haven't owned the new MT/R's but the old ones were great.

I don't daily drive the FJ, so I'm concerned about tread noise...so it appears that the Toyo or the GY MT/R are the best bet...

I've seen both the new MT/Rs and the Toyos in action. Both seem like very safe bets. Price may be the deciding factor.
