We're running the Yokohama Geolander AT/S on the wife's car. It's a little Ford Escape, which is 2WD. We got them on the vehicle when we lived out in Nebraska for the year and got them because they are rated really well for snow driving. I took the car back and forth up to the ski resorts this winter and the only problems I ran into was when we had to nearly stop on the freeway on an uphill section where a guy in a 4WD truck had spun out. We just started off a little slower and got going again. They handle really well on the street and are some of the best tires I've ever driven on in the rain. They've got a few miles on them now so they're getting a little noisy, but they're great tires and I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.
Out in the garage collecting parts....

dan. fyi, i checked the cruiser and i have the LTX M/S (All Season) on them. we mostly use the cruiser for long drives to the bay area and some tahoe south shore runs to the condo we have down there. do you think i should switch to the all terrains or keep with the all seasons? so far i like the all seasons but if the all terrains ride just as nice then maybe i should switch. i dunno.

If you stay on roads, then I think an all season should be fine. I don't think the AT2 will ride as nice as the MS. I think it will be slighly noiser because the outer tread blocks are open.
There is an MS2 coming out 9/1 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... 7LTXMS2OWL It might be a good one to look at.
