What spare parts would you guys recommend as an addition to one's recovery supplies?? And what are power bricks and "set up switch screen"??
For the JL i would carry a z-bar fuse as well as some duplicate suspension hardware (control arm, track bar, and shock bolts). They haven't been beaten as trail pigs to identify any other common weaknesses that I have heard about.
Power bricks would be a jump starter pack, phone charging brick, and/or a jackery type battery pack. You also have fridge batteries that would fall into that category.

OfflineKris nailed it, for me it is portable power bricks the size of a phone to be an emergency power source for my phone(s). The switch screen is my interface to my switches for lockers, winch, off-road lights. I use a SPOD system which has a touch screen but I don't like to leave the screen up when I am daily driving for theft reasons.
I don't carry a lot of spare parts, I do carry a spare U-Joint that fits all drivelines and front shafts, I have a set of driveshaft bolts because I know when I installed my rear I did it wrong and cross threaded one on the flange. The High Sierra Podcast guys (Greg) got me paranoid about unit bearings so I have one of those as well. I also have lots of common repair stuff like hose clamps, jb weld, radiator patch, hose patch, spare fluids, electrical repair stuff....
I really wonder what of this stuff I really need to be carrying, it feels like I got lots of stuff I have never used, but when you need it...

All of this applies to a day trip on Strawberry or for longer/harder trips? Like Fordyce/Rubicon? Seems like a ton of gear (especially with all of the spare running gear/suspension parts). At some point, a person will run out of space in the rig for driver and passengers.
I have check lists for day trips and longer trips but you always need to consider the time of year, the difficulty of the trail and the weather forecast. I almost always, on any real 4X4 trail, put a tent in and a sleeping bag. If for some reason your vehicle breaks down, you either want to say with it or if you have to abandon it, set up a tent so that others think you are close by so they don't steal it, parts or vandalize it.

OfflineIt always depends on the trip, where, what time of year, who else is going that also has similar items so you don't need to carry it. I try to keep my lists worst case then pack accordingly. And yes, when i am packed for a biog trip, think 3 days on the rubicon, I only have room for 2 in my 4-door by the time the cooler and flat top get packed.

OfflineSomething I realized after restocking valve stems in my tire kit, there are items always in the Jeep that are not in my list: Basic Recovery gear, tire plug kit, valve stem replacement tools, spare rubber stubby valve stems, lawn chairs, air compressor, shovel, first aid, fire extinguishers, hi lift, and winch controller.

I appreciate the clarification.
