If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Dave, that is so cool! What was the crawl ratio before re-gearing?

I had to go look it up, I think it was 2.3:1. All the spec sheets I can find (internet & my service manual) say gear ratio in low range is 2.268. So i guess that means (rounding up) 2.3:1

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Oh, this new setup will be a "stump puller".

Lookin good! I like the blue. The gears will make a huge difference. To calculate th e crawl ratio you multiply your first gear ratio, your low range and your diff ratio togeather. Mine is 4.43*4.3*4.88= 92.96:1. The number you came up with sounds too small. Good job on your t case

He only gave the case ratio.

Looks great David. What will your overall crawl ratio be?

Tom, the only stump for me is the answer to Carl's question. I'll I know it creeps slow and I like it.

OK Tim (the fountain math man) I gave him the numbers I think are right. First gear 2.40, transfer case 6.5, diff 4.56 He came up with 71.136

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Wait......that's not right, Revised transmission number 3.65, Transfer case 6.5, Diff 4.56 = 108.186

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

That's a crawl ration worth having, for sure. Now you got me wondering about mine.
