Any opinions on the Goodyear DuraTrac tires? I'm thinking of purchasing a set for my truck.

I didn't buy yet.
I'm on the fence between the same tires I have (Goodyear AT/S) on sale for $114 a tire on tire-rack or michelin AT2s for about 195 a tire.
Also, I'm looking at load range C tires for a softer ride (its a tahoe not a truck). John might be looking at load range E's

Thread back from the dead...now I'm considering the Goodyear Duratrac. John did you end up getting them? Anybody with any real world experience? I'm taking off a set of Toyo ATs and if I can't find something better I'll just stick with them. I'm looking for a good snow AT type tire for the truck.

I put a set of Duratracs on the FJ a few months before I sold it to my brother.
Never had them off road but they had great on road manners for an almost mud tire.
I'd buy them again if I was looking for all terrains.

I have them on my truck. I have about 50k miles on them. They work great on and OffRoad, but I wouldn't get them unless you plan on 50% or more usage OffRoad. I would go with a less aggressive tread design for better gas milage.

How much did they hurt the mileage? I didn't realize how much I'd be driving it when I bought the truck but I've been to McDermitt, NV, Hat Creek and San Diego CA in the last month or so. Mileage matters.
