First: Any recommendations on ring&pinion set-up shops ?
Second: I've recieved my Calif. Association of 4wd club membership stickers. I stuck one to the (black) jeep and the color went from a stand out yellow to almost black its so thin. Any ideas? I'd like to be able to see it from more than 4ft away. I've crossed out the first idea of rattle canning a white spot on a black jeep to place a yellow sticker, too many colors!

For the stickers, go to a sign shop and get some of their magnetic sign material. The stuff I've gotten had a white film stuck to the adhesive on the magnet material. You could just leave the white stuff on there and apply your sticker to it.

I've had both River City Differential (Rancho Cordova) and Predator Offroad (Auburn) set up a ring and pinion for me. Both worked just fine. I'm not sure if Predator is still around, they were in the area of the fire a few weeks ago. 🙁

I agree with Fred. But what I did, was spray one side of the magnet white and then put the sticker on it. That kept the color.

So far as ring and pinion work, I've had Extreme Gear install one set, and West Coast install two sets. Both were fine.

I've also used River City for some work and they were great as well.

I've never had that problem putting stickers on my Jeep.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Will the magnets stay put going down the highway or will they just fly off sticking to the white rig behind me? 🙂

They work on my jeep, but I've heard their are thinner material magnets that may not work as well.

I agree. Get the good stuff and I've never had a problem in brush or on the highway.

Thanks for the info. I'll be doing the magnet thing sunday. Next week I'll be checking ring & pinion set - up prices to decide if I want to pay or do it myself to say I've done it once.
