Just a couple of new items I came across:
Smitty built now offers a winch/compressor combo! It is about the same output as the Warn, but doesn't have an internal reserve tank. The kit does include a 2.5 gal remote mounted tank. The best part? It is less than $800!
Warn now offers a key fob wireless winch remote kit. I'm not sure it works with the powerplant, but does with their other winches.
Advance Adapters offers a bolt on T-case doubler for the Rock track transfer case (and atlas 2-speed t-case). This is a true doubler (2.72 x) that requires no driveline modifications. It fits either the JK or TJ cases and is exactly the same length as the stock case output it replaces. If you like a 4-1 kit, wouldn't a 10-1+ t-case be better?
Many people ask about supersiphons on the trail, but we forget when we get back to our houses. This is the product that enables you to quickly transfer gas from a jerry can to your tank more safely than the traditional ways. You can get the super syphon from several places, but here is one for sure: Off Road Trail Tools (520-579-2079), or http://www.offroadtrailtools.com.
Has anyone come across any other new and exciting products?

I saw that and was wondering how good the Smitty winches are. I am getting tired of watching Warn winches pulling all around me while my Milemarker fails. 😥 😥 I'm a little hesitant to buy anything but a Warn. Does anybody have experience with the Smittybuilt winches?

Are you talking about the new Rubi-Crawler?
I believe this isn't for the Rock track but a replacement tail housing for the 4 speed auto.

I have no experience with Smittybuilt. I own a T-Max and have never had any problems. I've also never had any problems with any of the Warn's I've owned.

hey john that's what i have. a stock np205 2:1 and klune 4:1. put them together and i have 8:1. 😀
What do you think of that combo? I always thought it would be perfect.
I used to wheel a lot. . .

i love this setup. i use 2:1 for mild terrain, 4:1 for rock crawling, and 8:1 for extreme stuff. i mostly use 2:1 and 4:1 and once in a while i'll need to use 8:1. here's a video of a few friend and i during thanksgiving on fordyce.

Everyone talks about their transfer case ratios, but the overall gear ratio is a better representation of how the vehicle will perform. If I had 3.73 gears with a 4:1 my ratio wouldn't be any where near that if I had 5.13's. At 3.73 my over all would be 66.54:1, with 5.13's the over all would be 91.5:1. This is a big difference. If I had 10;1,my tc over all would be 217.6:1. That's crazy low. but having the option to select a 2:1 ratio would be great on the medium trails. 😀
