I'm going to be in the market soon for some new rubber shoes for the jeep. I plan to run 37s and haven't really figured out what rims I will be going with yet. Possible stock wheels or some beadlocks. Many of us use our rigs for dual purpose, trail/daily driver. what tire do you use and what do you like/dislike about them?
I'm looking for mainly a good rolling tire that will fill my needs off road as well as getting me to work and back comfortable without wearing out in year.
I have experiences with MTRs and I really enjoyed that tire and was able to get 30k miles out of my set. I'm looking at nitto trail grapplers but heard they are very heavy, as well as toyo mts but I would not be able to run the 37 on a stock width rim.
Thoughts?
Um...what?

Anyone have experience with Yokohama Geolander M/T Plus?
38x13.50R17 Load Range C for low $300s
38x13.50R18 Load Range D for high $300sAny 12 month same as cash financing? I'd try them!!
They make a 40 Brad.
Jeff had an old version on one of his pathfinders. 31x10.5x15. Seemed to work well then. But the old version was only a 2 ply tire.
Um...what?

The price difference is made up in milage when compared against the mtrs or anything you are getting less than about 40 000 miles out of in the name brand world. That being said there may be some sort of lesser known or off brand at half the price that may perform well that may have potential on the cost end.
Do remember no matter the vehicle or its use, tires are the easiest and most important upgrade you can make.
In my search for 38s I had decided on mtrs basically for the reason 5 tires would be the same price as 4 BFG km2s saving about 5-600 dollars - then I realized I had to buy 10 mtrs to get similar milage to 5 Km2's - in the end costing about 2000 dollars more - that made my choice a little easier.
