To me it seems Dot5 has put too many websites on a single server. The fluctuations in response times seem to correspond to peak load times. In the evenings it works pretty well, but mornings through about 3:00 pm it's pretty bad.
I don't bother checking in during the day as much because I just don't want to wait.

Dot5 strikes again! I reported the slowness problem to Dot5 again yesterday and got an email back from them saying they don't see any problem. The email got to me at 11:25 pm. Of course they're not going to see the problem - everyone (well almost) is in bed and not using websites hosted on their servers.
I've replied back telling them they need to look at it between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm pacific time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Yes, we are aware of the slowness issue with MySQL servers. Our Network Operation team is working on it. It will be resolved soon.
We are going to be adding few more MySQL resources over the next few days, we feel that this should help this situation greatly.
