A few people were interested in finding out more about the 4Sevens flashlight in the club campout raffle.
Here's a link to the main 4Seven's website - http://www.4sevens.com/

I know at least a couple people were interested in flashlights. 4Sevens is offering a limited supply of flashlights with with warm-tint leds - http://www.4sevens.com/index.p.....th=297_310 . I ordered two of the AA2 Turbo lights and received them today. Of the led flashlights I own they've quickly become my favorites. Instead of the blueish tint of cool leds they are much more like an incandescent flashlight and easier on the eyes. I just thought I'd pass this on in case someone was looking for a really nice led flashlight since these won't be available for long.

More on Flashlights?
I found this one on eBay that has 6 Cree LEDs and puts out 1500 Lumens.

Batteries probably last about 10 seconds.

That one should be much brighter than anything I've got. My brightest light is only 500 lumens. I might have to do some more shopping. 😈
This new one is rated at "1500-1600" lumens! It's hard to compare - I need to go camping again and test it out.

I think someone accidently edited my post. I didn't write the bolded text above.

I need a good light weight head lamp for duck hunting. I want something that is bright and good quality and preferably water proof if I drop it in the water. Fred, do you have any suggestions?

Keane asked about headlamps earlier this month in this topic - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4859&p=62262&hilit=headlight#p62262
My experience with headlamps is pretty limited. I like the Zebralight headlamp for my purposes which was mostly for working on things relatively close and for around camp. It's a floody light that doesn't project light very far though. I got mine at http://goinggear.com
There's a headlamp forum at candlepowerforums you may want to check out - http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/for ... a5a465&f=6
Do you have any preference in battery type?
If they're not out of your budget, Surefire's got a couple headlamps on their website - http://www.surefire.com/Headlamps
I don't have any knowledge about how good they are but if they're made by Surefire they must be pretty good. The Saint Minimus looks interesting.

I'm not fred, but i have been using a streamlite headlite for duck hunting for 3 years now and am very happy with it. It takes 2 123 batteries and has 2 power settings. On button is very easy to use even with gloves on but can get turned on if just tossed in backpack or blindbag. I put mine in one of the little net pouches in my bag. The headstrap is awsome,it flat works. If you wear a hat you will not even notice it is on your head and it does not fall off like most others do. Has been " lab tail tested ". I can drop it off at the store and you can play with it for a couple of days if you want.

Which one do you have? The is one for 139 or the one with the extra battery pack attached to the back of the head strap for 189. How long does your light last on a set of batteries.
