We are fine here in loomis...but my neighbor's tree fell over against the power lines, so I'm expecting them to shut us down soon.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Good here at work. I keep hoping, but I'm sure I won't get that lucky. We have a standby generator for our operations folks, but engineering gets to sit in the dark.

I am/was working from home today. If the power doesn't come back on before my ups runs down I'll have to go in to the office. 🙁

Or I might go fire up the generator on the motorhome and run an extension cord in the house to power up my network.

Our power came back on just after 1:00 pm. The ups held up so I didn't have to fire up the generator. I called it in to SMUD and they already knew about it. Their message said 4,578 customers were affected by the outage that hit my house and that there were a lot more other outages.

Ours is flickering again too. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes out again.

The winds are getting worse. We have branches falling from our trees now. I hope a big Oak doesn't decide to smash through our house 😯

Folsom had an hour outage at my work. It lasted an hour.

Being in Alhambra, it was fine by me. Still 70 down here. there is now light rain however.

I've heard there are trees being blown down in the Folsom area. Hope all is well with everyone up there. My flight home tomorrow should be interesting...

We had about 30 "blips" at work, just enough to keep shutting manufacturing down. Then I came home to a tree through my roof . . .

Thanks John, will do. It's raining in my kitchen, but I've pretty much got it handled (I think).

George that tree through your roof is crazy. I hope every thing is ok. We were running all over town today chasing down power lines and downed trees. SMUD was so backed up that there were fire crews with live electrical lines catching houses on fire and there were no SMUD crews avaliable to shut the power off. I also hope that so-cal doesn't slide into the ocean.

George, let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

A few houses down the street there was a tree blown over. No damage other than the tree though.

George, let me know if you need any help. If it's oak, I can also make it disappear for you. 😀

Side note...anyone else having trouble with the Board this morning? I'm getting all sorts of SQL errors..

Yeah Keane, I was having trouble with the forum this morning.

That sucks George. Glad everyone is OK.

I had no power in Loomis from 5pm untill about 2am, and no power at work in Lincoln off and on all night.

It's 73 in LA right now. Very light rain and no wind. My flight out will be ok, but I'm not sure what into SAC will be like.

Is Hwy 5 in downtown still closed?

I made one phone call last night. This morning a crew came out, removed the tree and cleaned everything up. The roof will be repaired tomorrow, everything is looking pretty good. Thanks for all the offers, you guys are awesome!
