Have you ever wanted to just slap some parents?
Yesterday, at Starbucks (go figure) I saw a mother and daughter standing in line. What caught my attention was a tattoo on the 5 year old girl. A pretty butterfly accross the back. I can't say for sure if it was real, but it looked like a real one. Even if it was a temp, it still sends a message. Then the mom orders the 5 year old girl a vanilla capacino. What is it with parents these days? Do they feel the need to allow their kids the freedom of choice at such a young age? Am I just too stuck in the past?
I used to wheel a lot. . .

I started drinking coffee when I was 17 years old...my parents were not offering me coffee at 5 years old.
My kids have the little fake tattoos, you know, a pirate skull or dragon. I won't let them get realistic tattoos. They can wait until they are out of the house and then make up their own minds. Until then, it's my rules and I don't care much for individualality

I dont know how the mom gets them to drink coffee. I tried some of my dad's once... black with no sugar or anything. I dont think i will try coffee again.
Oh and i dont see the point in tattoos anyway. They will all feel stupid when they get older and they have tattoos all over their arm.
I can see it now... a new game show, "Guess the Tattoo!" A bunch of old people that have a tattoo are the contestants. After 50 years of aging, you wont even be able to tell what they are anymore.

Tatoos are a pretty personal thing. Definitely something I would wait on. I think my brother isn't a big fan of the one that he got with the High School friends that he hasn't talked to since, but he has gotten some as an adult as well. I'm pretty happy with mine.

Yea some people like them, some dont. I dont mind seeing people with tattoos or anything, there can be some pretty cool designs and stuff. But i dont think i would get any. If they were temporary or could be somehow removed it would be totally different though.

I'm still working on the design of mine, but will have one which completely wraps the upper part of my right arm here very soon.... tough part seems to be finding the artist to draw it up the way you invision it in your head.
Out in the garage collecting parts....

If I had it to do over again, I would never have got my 3 tattoos. It is the biggest regret I have. I hate to say it, but as a cop, I think tattoos go hand in hand with dirt bags and criminal. Not that everyone who has them fits in to that catagory, but as a cop, you get my attention faster if you have them.
