I thought I would share this with the group.  What do you do when your engine light comes on before a Club Run to "Hell Hole"?  You attend a car show right?confused While I was not about to go up on the mountain and be "The Guy" that went on a Club Run with known Rig issues I did see an opportunity to attend an event with a friend of mine who is in a Mustang Club.  So I showed up and represented with my Jeepgrin For folks that are in the area it might be fun for us to show up with our Rigs in force and represent the 4x4 community and the Club.  They have this event every Saturday morning from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.  I showed up at 7:30 am and there was still plenty of parking.  There were a lot of really nice cars to look at as well.  The event is very informal... Just show up park your car go get a Starbucks and walk around looking at cars and talking with folks.  If there is an interest from enough folks I will look at some dates and we can go check this out as a group.

The Web Site for the event is: http://carsandcoffeefolsom.com

What a small world, Jeff.  When we are not at a club event or in Nv. Guy and I go to this event every Saturday.  We know the guys that host it very well.  Great people.  I'm glad you found this and am even more thrilled you shared it here.  We've spoken of it to our Posse family but never thought to post it! Thank you.  They also have a Facebook page and they also host off-site events such as runs and lunches and museum (both private and public) tours.

That looks like fun - I may try to make it. My daughter has her ukulele lesson (working on some Metallica and AC/DC, heh) at 10:30, and the other kids seem to expect daddy to take them out to breakfast every SAT, but we could prob make it by . . .

Yep - and we usually go to the open mic night there (at the Musiccafe next door) on FRI nights. Great place!

Small world. John was teaching uke at the time. We've been there with our from time to time. A god friend of ours is in the store; Eric Clapton. He had lined us up for guitar lessons, which are long done. Enjoy!

Buck,  I love it!  You need to take this act on the road!!!!!  Awesome!  I played for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with the my son and the boys many times.  I also went to the kids School every Christmas and sang songs with the kids.  It is a blast for sure!  Sadly, my kids are to grown up for my guitar playing these days...

You are friends with Eric Clapton?!? wow . . .

As for my "band," we have fun with it but have only played a few times. That night, the first song we did ("You Are My Sunshine") was so bad it would curl your hair. But we are getting better. . . it's hard trying to carry the rhythm when your 5-year-old is speeding up/slowing down like crazy. .  I am really trying to keep up with her instead of the other way around!

It's David Clapton at the store, who is 3rd cousin to Eric.
