REAL CHILI DOES NOT HAVE TO HAVE A BEAN IN IT!!!
These silly advertisements have y’all convinced that the plain ole Pinto bean is now a chili bean! What? Chili comes from the chili pepper... It’s a spice!
So now they flavor them regular ole pintos with chili spice and that’s a chili bean but yet you can’t flavor hamburger meat with chili spice and call it chili???
*Sigh*. Won’t u people ever learn?
Tell ya what? Y’all go south and when ur there ask for a bowl of chili and when it comes out without a BEAN you go ahead and ask where the beans are. They will bring u a bowl of slow cooked pinto beans right along with the other sides of jalapeños, shredded cheese, Mac and Cheese, sour cream and corn bread...
Or you are welcome to just that bowl of beans (not flavored with chili).
Or you can combine them. Your choice. But ITS AN OPTION!
