I was doing some maintenance stuff on my other forum and my computer picked up a virus. Warning to the few guys that use that forum, mainly Keane. Troy, and Rob. Stay off the Rocks and Rods site for now.
Anyway, now my computer has a virus and it's making my computer suck. I can't run any of my antivirus and it won't let me restore to an earlier date. Any suggestions

Got it fixed finally. But stay away from Rocks and Rods for a while, I think that's where it came from. But, my niece and boyfriend were house sitting for the weekend, so maybe it was something they did.
I went here, and then over to Rocks and Rods. While at Rocks and Rods, a download window popped up, and then all Hell broke loose. I got umpteen virus warnings, all leading me to a anti-virus website to purchase their protection software. None of my own anti-virus software would work, it just kept trying to take me to that same web site to sell me their software. I couldn't use any of my computer systems, so I couldn't restore my computer to an earlier date.
I spent a good hour racing my computer. I would turn it on, try to get through the restore program faster than the virus could shut it down. I finally beat the virus and got all the buttons pushed before it could shut it down.
I am now enacting a quarentine zone on Rocks and Rods until I get brave enough to get back over there to try and fix it...

I thought I had it figured out. Unfortunately my computer was loaded with viruses and spyware. That's what I get for letting teenagers house sit for us. Now I came up with a permanent fix, I got a new computer, with antivirus and spyware software, plus it's password protected from the house sitters
Pretty cool having a new computer. We got an HP Pavillion p6510y. It has AMD athlon II Quad Core Processor, 64 bit performance, 4GB memory, 750 GB HD, and a bunch of other crap that I don't understand
