Offline Friggin' restore points are the first thing I turn off on computers. Always see people use those and then they can't understand why all of their programs stop working that they installed a week ago..... BTW, whatever that virus/malware was - it's probably still there. Just not loaded into the registry any longer and waiting to be launched again.
Out in the garage collecting parts....
