I'll just be happy to see all the dang signs coming down. Particularly all of thes Yes on 8 signs everywhere you go are just annoying as hell, there are so many that they look more like litter than actually trying to express a point of view any more. I drove into work yesterday and they had actually lined almost the entire off-ramp on the freeway, around the corner and up to a stop light not more than maybe a foot in between each sign - I mean come on. Half the time, there are so many you can't even see the signs for the people running for office. Vote how you want, express what you want, but come on this is just litter.

Yup! Do people actually vote differently because of the signs? The cleanup cost for any sign left behind after the election should go to the person or proposition that it advertises for.
I fully agree.
It will be interesting if 8 fails. They spent more money on this one initiative than the 2000 presidential election! Churches have deep pockets!

The train surprised me. Just because something is feasible doesn't mean it should be done. It's been feasible for over 30 years but the costs have been what's kept it from beeing realized.
It comes with nice bragging rights, but we will be subsidizing it as long as we live.

This is what happens when you get a really high turnout in CA. Most of us forget that LA has a majority of CA's population. Add that plus the SF people and the measure wins. Luckily, we ALL get to share the costs.
