i use outlook for work. i set it up on my phone using the exchange server and it works great. i get emails faster to my phone than i do on my pc at work!! 8)
Do you use the calendar function?
yes. its awesome. whats cool is that it color codes the items if you have 2 differnt calendars set up on your outlook. for example. i have a personal calendar and the main calendar in outlook. the phone lists both calendars in one view and bullet lists in either orange or red depending on which calendar the item is from. 8)

So far I've added a flashlight (it was free 😛 ), flick fish (game), solitaire (game), kids vs zombies (game), and some ring tones.
I'm starting to investigate using my Exchange as a calendar. Any other cool stuff I can add or use (besides music)?
Ooh...does the phone have an alarm clock feature, or can I app one?

Hmmmm. Sounds like a call to the service desk is in order. Dan, Fred? 😀
I could help with Yahoo mail but not Exchange. My employer doesn't allow personal iphones to connect to our Exchange servers. I do recall that something needs to be installed or activated in the Exchange server to allow iphones to work with them.

I've made a point of staying away from mail servers as much as I can, but I do know that there are specialized Crackberry servers/services installed to handle the mail transactions for those phones specifically (expensive too from what I remember)
.... I think you had to have per device licensing setup for each device as well....
Out in the garage collecting parts....

That's whAt my employer said too. They wouldn't help Joe professional set it up because they told him it wasn't supported or approved. I said BS and started messing with the settings and with little trouble got it working. It doesn't make sence to me that my company can hand out blackjacks and blackberries but no apples.

Berries are OK.
Fruits and Nuts are not OK.

I like it. Checking emails is actually easier on my iphone than my computer. My contacts list was super easy to enter and even easier to pull up and select a number. I haven't looked, but I hope there is a way to set the sleep mode so it stays operational a little longer before going to sleep. The games I got for it are fun and easy to play (that's important for me. I haven't had much time to do anything else. I'll be investigating it more in the coming weeks.
