Would anyone have any recommendations on a spot to bait fish for trout from shore on the 80 side? I want to take my daughter fishing since she’s never been.

Bowman Lake, Meadow Lake, Fuller Lake, Rucker Lake or Long Valley Reservoir. All but Long Valley and Meadow Lake are off of Bowman Lake Road. Or if you want closer to home, you could try Halsey Forebay (off Dry Creek Road in Christian Valley) or Rollins Lake but apparently Rollins is down or closed due to construction on the dam. I always see people fishing at Halsey Forebay at the inlet so there must be fish there.
