The new bridge opens tomorrow!!!! That'll cut some time of my trips to the meetings

Folsom Lake Crossing to Open Saturday, March 28

Join your friends and neighbors for the Folsom Lake Crossing grand opening celebration on Saturday, March 28. Take advantage of a unique opportunity to walk across the bridge before it opens to traffic.

10 a.m. -- Program featuring speeches by elected officials and other dignitaries, and a ribbon cutting ceremony. Music by the award winning Folsom High School Marching Band. (Note: There will be no public access to the bridge during the program.)

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. -- Community festival on the bridge featuring entertainment by the Dam Road Closed Band and other groups, exhibits and food vendors.

4 p.m. -- Bridge opens to vehicular traffic.

Parking: From East Natoma Street, turn onto Folsom Lake Crossing Road. Volunteers will direct attendees to on-street parking along both sides of the one mile long road leading to the bridge. On-going shuttle service from the parking area to the bridge will be available.

Note: The Folsom-Auburn Road bridge entrance will be closed until the bridge opens to vehicular traffic at 4 p.m.

Yes....it will be nice to have that way back open again and not having to go through DT Folsom on a busy weekend.

I drove it twice yesterday evening.

It easily trims 10 minutes off the trip to roseville. when traffic is heavy I could see 20+ minute time saving.

and you can see the lake 🙂

Closed Mondays.
