Finally some good news! Dropped below $130 today. Huge drops over the last few days. Hopefully that'll show up at the pump some time soon!

Although Maxwellรขโฌโขs prediction is for the long-term...
Sure, I agree that the prices will be where he states eventually. Back in 1960, it was predicted that the world oil reserves would be exhausted before 2000. There are huge reserves in existence and more are being found each day. If you want to drop oil prices, stop subsedizing ethenol. Ethenol requires a market price of $4.25 to $4.75 for feasability. See any similarities to our prices?
Rob, want to bet a dinner at Claimjumpers on a year-end over/under of $7.50/gallon? I'll take the under!
I will take that bet!!!
Who cares who wins. It is dinner at Claimjumpers ๐

Light, sweet crude for November delivery rose $2.29 to $74.14 a barrel in morning trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract Friday gained $1.53 to settle at $71.38; crude has fallen about 50 percent from its July 11 high of $147.27.
So can someone explain to me why we haven't seen a 50% drop in price at the pump?
The price of oil per barrel goes up on Monday we see an increase on Tuesday at the pump. Oil goes down on Monday we are lucky to see a decrease at the pump by Friday.

This is big oil having the politicians in their pockets.
Oil raises $2 a barrel, or a war status change occurs, or the weather looks bad (which is normal every year) for the gulf coast, or something else - and gas prices head up in 1 day.
Prices drop and oil companies tell you thier inventory has to be run off based on the higher price oil, before the lower prices can take affect... :censor:

Don't worry, you might think you only paid $3.00 pr gallon, but you really paid a lot more than that. Wait until they start taking your tax money to pay for the bail outs
The stock market keeps tanking. I think the Wall Street fat cats have a good system worked out. If they keep the stock market in the crapper, then the Government (we the people) will keep throwing free money at them. Pretty good raquet
I used to wheel a lot. . .
