Well after talking to the body shop the other day he said my truck was pretty hammered and it looked like it was going to be a total, but he wasn't going to be 100% sure until he gets it up on the frame rack and takes measurements.
Well he called today and said he was so surprised there is no frame damage except to the rear frame horn which was just bent a little bit. So it is fixable. Its about $14,000 in damages.
I was sort of hoping for a total, so I could pick up a new Duramax with the 6 speed Alison, but I only have 3 payments left on this Dodge and I can start putting $500 a month back in my pocket which will also be nice.

not only can they not drive, they didn't follow directions.

LOL....Good one. well he was drunk, so I don't think he was doing much reading.
He was so out of it that he thought I was stopped on the freeway when he hit me, when I was actually doing over 60 mph 🙄

thanks....A sore neck for a couple days and I was ok after that. I am glad I had 8 feet of truck bed between him and I. It wouldn't be so good for someone in a small commuter with their kids in the back seat.

He hit you while you were going 60 and did that much damage! WOW! He must have been flying. Glad you were able to keep it under control and get it to a stop safely!

Yea when he hit me for the first second I though something had broken in my steering and once I got control I was "Geez...some SOB just hit me"
I just got the CHP report and he told the officer he was going 65. In the report the officer guesstimated the guy was going 85mph plus. The other good news from the report is the guy has no insurance 🙄
It wasn't his truck, but some girl from Sacramento so hopefully she has some insurance.
