What do you all think of Harbor Freight? I know some people like them and some don't. Some people only buy certain things from Harbor Freight. I'm looking to buy a floor jack and air compressor. Should I buy these items from Harbor Freight?

I've got a few things from Harbor Freight including a large, high lift floor jack and jack stands. I've been very satisfied with these. I've gotten other less memorable things that I haven't been happy with. I guess you could put me in the category of buying some things from them.
As far as air compressors go, shop around. Living in a neighborhood I was concerned about noise as much as tank volume, pressure and cfm. You'll find some compressor types are better for noise than others. I don't remember the details on which is better though. (I still wear ear plugs when my compressor goes off in the garage.)

I bought the jack stands that are holding Bills jeep off the floor( the one he's keeping ) and a higher lift floor jack. I've also bought a few wrenches that I modified for hard to reach places rather than modify my craftsman wrenches. I figured if they held up great,if they didn't not alot of money lost. The darn thing is some of those wrenches held up pretty good and I still have them to this day.

I've bought stuff from them and it all worked fine. My current floor jack was 245 but I got it on sale and with a coupon for under 100.
