Well, a few of us started the Horsemen as a joke to just have some fun. After a while it progressed into what we thought would be like a Posse Glee Club. We wanted to bring some fun back to the forum, have some get togethers, do some silly contests, and do some runs that might appeal to a wide variety of members.
From the lack of response we've gotten, I'll assume it backfired and we scared you guys off. That was never our intention. We wanted to unite the club, and bring up the participation.
We realize that not everybody is into hard wheeling which is why we had the thread on "favorite types of runs." But nobody responded. So, I guess the whole Horsemen experiment was a failure.
Oh well...live and learn...we now return to our regularly scheduled program 😀

Well, that was our intention, to increase activity. However, I noticed that activity increased with the people that were already very active. The seldom posters dissapeared all-together. I am a Posse Forum geek and I keep track of participation.
After having a conversation with one of the officers, I now know that several were being turned off by the whole thing. I guess people thought it was a split from the Posse and it was all about extreme wheeling. That could not be further from the truth. It was meant to unite and bring a variety of different stuff. I guess it's all about perception and what people WANT to read into it.

I moved this post because it seemed like it's an issue internal to the club and it's members and doesn't need to be broadcast to the world. If the other officers of the club disagree I'll move it back to the Chit Chat forum.

I moved this to the members forum. If we need to discuss the direction of the Posse 4x4 Club we don't need to be doing it in the public forum.
Censorship like this is half the problem is. You made more of a deal by moving it than needed. Please tell me where in any of John's original thread made you think someone from the public would see an issue. Please help me understand.
Believe it or not, the three of us had nothing but good intentions in mind for the club. We had planned on having work parties, BBQ's at our house with horseshoes and other things for the whole family.

dont make me sick Mechanical Animals on you john!!!! but seriously, i think your trying to hard. just be yourself and have fun. as far as posting counts go. right now i barely have time to read all the post you sissy la la's make everyday. once i get back to work, i should have more time to give you a hard time or at least make stupid posts that dont make sence and hyjack threads. 😈

Admittedly, my initial perception was that "The horsemen" were trying to create some sort of "sub club" for the better built rigs. Which always scares me as a sign of internal grumblings which could lead to internal politics and a falling out.
John, I'm glad you posted to let us know your intentions. Reading back through your posts, you're right; it's all about perception.
This club offers all types of runs which is what I love about it. Even if my rig is not capable of surviving the hammers; I could probably hitch a ride with someone and see how it's done. There's a great sense of community within this club.
Discussions about where we want to go moving forward is a great topic. I don't think we caught on to that in your original posts (myself included). Again, thanks for clarifying.
I’ll post later today what types of runs I like. I think the more input the better, it’s gonna be a great summer wheeling season!!!

I have to admit, my opinion was the same as George’s.
Ever since the hammers deal, it just seemed that you guys were trying to separate from the club, and pull people with you. But with that said, I want to say thanks John, for clearing that up. I joined this club because of the closeness and family feeling it had. To go wheeling and camping and have a good time. To know if you got in trouble that there was always some one there you could call and they would come get you.
Again Thanks John. (thats a root beer by the way 😀 )
All I have to do is get my electrical and airlines done and I am itching to go.
So let’s get busy with it. 8)

Since we are coming clean...and there is a thought that we were trying to split off the club...
I can assure you that the Horsemen were not trying to be an extreme part of the Posse. We already belong to a more extreme wheeling club but we try very hard to keep that away from the Posse. We fully understand that is not what the Posse is about and I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything about it on this forum. There are some references here and there but it's not in your face kind of stuff.

I just got out of bed, I am glad this all got cleared up. Now lets get back to having fun. Who is hosting the first work party 😀 I think John was planning on doing one at his house.
