Hey Guys,
If you remember, I borrowed Keane and Rob last year for a bit of kayaking adventure. I'm seeking some info on the road/snow conditions up Mosquito Ridge Road towards last chance. I called the Foresthil Ranger station and they informed me that it was snowed in 13 miles east of Foresthill (I traced the path and that topped out at 2500 feet). I think it's bogus because obviously the snow line is closer to 5000 feet right now and because she was not interested in answering the more detailed part of my question about how far one could drive. The facts don't add up so I'm asking those who would know. You're all close to there. Anyone been up there in the last week? I want to get to Last Chance so we can hike down to the river and kayak some goods.

The roads spend lots of time above 5200 feet where I want to go, so that's what I was concerned about...I just was pretty sure the ranger station lady was giving me bad info since her estimate of it being closed 13 miles east of Forresthill would stop somwhere around 2500 feet while ascending the ridge. Didn't make sense.
