What John didn't tell you was that I spent 7 hours at the hospital yesterday to get that patch 😯 Sometimes safety glasses don't even work

You're just lucky you didn't loose an eye...you drive bad enough as it is

So what happened?
I was recently reading a topic in Pirate4x4 ChitChat about another guy who was getting ready for a vacation and bungie'ing something on their vehicle, the bungie came off and the hook end hit him in the eye. The results were pretty bad and he was at risk of losing his vision. He had to undergo some pretty complicated and uncomfortable procedures but seems to be recovering.
We have to be careful with even the simplest things!

At some point between Sat. and Monday, I got a good size piece of metal stuck in the center of my left eye. It was in there long enough that it rusted!!! They had to take a small drill and burr to remove the metal and rust. Monday after they removed the metal; the pain and discomfort was more than I have experienced in a long time. Most of the pain was gone by Tuesday afternoon, but my eye is still swollen and bright red today!!! I do wear safety glasses all the time, but they are no guarantee, they just give you a better chance of not letting something get in your eye.
