Because I've got nothing else to talk about...
I hate shoe shopping, but I gotta tell you about the new boots I got for wheeling. They are the best I've tried so far, and I've tried many. These are light weight, water proof, and fit so nice with excellent support. They are kinda pricey, look a little "earthy", but they are pretty rugged and should last a while. I used to only buy Merrel boots, but I couldn't find any when I went shopping. So, I bought these instead and I'm glad I did.

Nice looking boots. I really liked the Lowa boots I got a while back but they were kind of pricey too. I've tried a couple cheaper alternatives and haven't been as happy with them. The one's I've got now are the Irish Setter brand made by Red Wing. I got them at Cabelas for about half the price of the Lowa's. They're very comfortable and work just fine, but overall they just aren't as nice as the Lowa's.

I'm happy with my Keens, but they're pretty light weight and I like a heavier boot for hiking. I buy all my boots through Sierra Trading post. If you wait and keep and eye on them, their prices are amazing. I ended up with about 70% off my last pair between a sale and the coupons they send.
My top brands...Asolo or Vasque. Asolo's shoes are too stiff for lots of folks, but I'm an ankle sissy and I like the support. I have and ancient pair of Merrils that won't die. I'm a boot snob.
