Anyone have any recommendations for a dedicated photo printer? I'm fed up with using my Epson all-in-one printer for photos and would like to get something that makes it easy to print nice pictures.

I have a Photsmart 3210 that works fine and was aroung 100. It will print banners or photos up to 8.5x11.

The printer above is a dedicated photo printer. I also have an all-in-one that works well for photos too...

We bought a Canon MP620B about 6 months ago. I'm not impressed with the print quality and it blows through ink like you wouldn't believe.

While trying to get my photo management software working I realized it's about 10 years old now and probably not the best thing to use any more. I downloaded Google's Picasa 3 and it was pretty easy to get my pictures printed out. If you're looking for photo management software check it out, it's free. 8)

my suggestion is to use the online printing places. most offer cheap pricing and great picture quality. some even let you pick them up at your local target walmart or walgreens. also many people love using costcos printing. you can upload them from your computer and pick them up in an hour. i think prices range a little bit for 4x6 prints. costco i think is about 15 cents a print.

we have a canon printer at home that prints excellent 12x18 prints but it can go thru ink like u wouldnt believe. plus we use it so infrequently that i think the ink must dry up some causing us to replace the pricey cartidges. rant

Like Alex says, Sams/Costco is an option. I was just in Sams and they are 13 cents a print for either on line order and pick up or in store drop off of the media.

Costco hadn't even crossed my mind. That's not a bad option! (Except that it typically costs $300/trip to Costco.)

Apparently Picasa is pretty easy to use. Teddi's home today and last time I talked to her she was printing out all kinds of pictures. She normally doesn't adopt new software very easily.

Elena uses Costco. Easy to order from on line and the pictures are ready for pick up the next time we go.

I used to wheel a lot. . .
