Place to Hot Dip

Im embarking on engine work next week. Removing intake manifold and want to have it hot dipped, cleaned, as that is how its been termed to me. Anyone have a place to recommend in the Folsom area or close?

In addition, after the hot dip I want to apply wrinkle paint? Also a new thing to me so a place to recommend for that too?

I don't have a place to recommend, but if you open up the YP and call some of the local engine rebuilders I am sure they do it or could tell you the best way to go about it to find someone.

When I built the engine for the EB I just used a wire wheel, oven cleaner, engine degreaser etc to clean up the parts. Rattle can them with your favorite color and call it done. Its not a show vehicle and you are only going to take it out and get it dusty, dirty, muddy so it didn't make a lot of sense to me to put a lot of money into it, but YMMV.

Thanks for providing your mileage experience. I'm not into showing it up either, but thought a silly color wouldn't be too much to do. 🙂

So upon calling up some shops do I actually say "hot Dip"?

I have heard the term "hot tank". I am sure any engine machine shop worth its weight could do it.
