I need a gate at the front of my property 👿
First, there are the religious organizations that come knocking on the door. The Mormons are usually pretty respectful and will leave without a fuss. But, the Jahovas Witnesses are kind of persistant and take some harsher words to get rid of them. I'm fine with them trying to spread their message, but take a hint and leave without a fuss.
Then yesterday, I had a crazy old man come to the door. He didn't want anything, he just started chit-chatting. He was a complete nut case too. I finally said, "If there's nothing you need from me, you might as well be on your way." He just kept asking me questions like he was searching for some information or he was casing my house. He was just weird.
Then, this morning all our recyling was stolen. They even took a couple of bags of plastic bottles that were in the back of my truck. What really sux is the recycling is my kids' project. They work hard to collect them, sort them, turn them in, and then they get to keep the money they earn. So, these thieves basically stole money from my kids.
It's funny, we move to the country to get away from this kind of stuff. We never had these problems when we lived in town. People just left us alone. Now they won't leave us alone 👿
Time for a gate...
I used to wheel a lot. . .

That sucks. I'm up for a gate hanging work party if you need help.
After asking them nicely to move on, start hitting on the JWs (male or female). They get real uncomfortable real quick. Heavy metal in the background up really loud helps too.
I'll start drinking more beer and set the cans aside for your kids. 😀
No solution for the crazy guy. That's just weird. That didn't even happen in Rancho.

It's already wired down to the edge of the property. I'd just have to dig around and find it.
I will just hire the guys I got last time. It would be as cheap as renting an auger. Less work too.
I'll have to do some gate shopping.
Get the same gate opener that I have. It is a Mighty Mule from Home Depot and is around $500..If you buy a gate opener from a fence company, it will cost you around 2500 to 5000 for just the opener.
