Me and my dad went to the rubicon on the tahoe side on the 4th for a little bit to test out my new tires. There was barely anyone there. We went into cadillac hill and turned around about half way down because of time. When we were airing up, on the right side of the staging area, where the bathrooms are, someone was shooting. Probably not more than 100 yards from the trailers and bathrooms. What do you think of people shooting at the rubicon? Here are the pics.
Got some air on this spot.
Oh and i'm getting some tire rub on the front fenders, its already starting to chew up my new tires. So i need to fix that asap. I have heard of people cutting up the floor and making it more clearanced. Anyone know what i could do? I'd rather not chop up the fenders.

The shooting is dangerous. Hopefully the were cited.
I think his rig would look good with an exo cage and and a little body trimming!!!!!!!

Shooting in the National Forest is perfectly legal if the rules are followed. From the ENF website:
Firearms
You may NOT discharge a firearm or any other implement capable of taking human life, causing injury, or damaging property:
* In or within 150 yards of a residence, building, campsite, developed recreation site, or occupied area,
* Across or on a Forest Development road or a body of water adjacent thereto,
* In any manner or place whereby any person or property is exposed to injury or damage as a result of such discharge. (36CFR 261.10d*).

Agreed.
I wasn't there so I can't say if the shooters were far enough away from the developed area or not. My point in posting the rules is that Rubicon is in the National Forest, it's legal to shoot guns in the National Forest, therefore if the rules are followed it's legal to shoot guns near the Rubicon Trail.
I will admit with the number of people up there, and with so much granite around, it's probably not the best place to be shooting.

Our prision system is already full. Can you imagine what would happen if we started arresting stupid people. 😯
I'd pay another $1000 a year in taxes to make my cummute better.
Is anyone counting the number people breaking the cell phone law? I see about 20% of drivers still have the the phone-to-face problem.

So, what I've noticed is that the noise level while driving the Jeep is so loud with the top off that I end up holding my fingers to my bluetooth in order to press it into my ear, thus defeating the purpose of "hands-free".
I've decided to just let the caller go into voicemail until I get off the road.

It rubs on the side twords the middle of the truck. Like where the pedals are. Not sure how much lift it has because i didnt do it.

You have an 85 right? Are you running any wheel spacers? I run a front wheel spacer because I have the wider rear end. If you have an 85 I think you still have the narrow rear end. You could throw on a small spacer which should help with the rub (depending on where everything fits on the outside) and gain some width at the same time.

I've got a cheap bluetooth headset and have the same problem. I pretty much do the same thing with voicemail.
Have you considered the anycom Solar handsfree set up? It mounts to the windshield (no wires) and works very well for me.

Here is a key feature:
By using a 16-bit digital signal processor (DSP), the Anycom Solar Bluetooth Car Kit filters the surrounding noise and reduces the echo of your own voice. Natural conversation is enhanced with the full duplex mode. A powerful speaker with 95 decibels output delivers a clear and loud audio signal.
