That looks pretty cool!

Oh, you said it mounts to the windshield? That's not legal in CA is it?

It is perfectly legal so long as you don't obstruct your view. Mine is in the upper left corner of the glass.

My understanding is that essentially, only a rear view mirror is allowed to be attached to the windshield. Radar detectors and gps's are not suppose to be attached to windshields. I would think this bluetooth device would be comparable to radar detectors and gps's. Read the first item at this link.

Rules are made to be broken. I think Brad has little to worry about and I doubt he'd be pulled over for a wireless connection on his windshield.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Fred, from your link...

(b) This section does not apply to any of the following:

(3) Signs, stickers, or other materials which are displayed in a 7-inch square in the lower corner of the windshield farthest removed from the driver, signs, stickers, or other materials which are displayed in a 7-inch square in the lower corner of the rear window farthest removed from the driver, or signs, stickers, or other materials which are displayed in a 5-inch square in the lower corner of the windshield nearest the driver.

Looks like you can make it work.

Our prision system is already full. Can you imagine what would happen if we started arresting stupid people. 😯

I'd pay another $1000 a year in taxes to make my cummute better.

Is anyone counting the number people breaking the cell phone law? I see about 20% of drivers still have the the phone-to-face problem.

I wrote 19 cell phone tickets this weekend in Tahoe. I cited one 18 year old girl 3 times between Thursday to Sat. Those 3 phone calls are going to cost her around $500 lol

Way to go Rob! He's doing his part to turn around California's economy! I hope all officers can do the same thing.

Slight subject change.
I was waiting in line for an AM/PM carwash at lunch. The woman in the car in front of me was on her cellphone (with phone-to-face problem). The wash went to blowdry and she sat under the washer on her phone. She miseed the drying because she forgot to pull forward. I wonder how safe she is on the road? 😯

😆 😆 😆

Rob, where were you in the tahoe area? We drove from the rubicon to tahoe city.

Oh, and i got pulled over on my way up to the rubicon. He said that my tags were expired, and when he went back to check again, he said that he thought they said June, instead of July. Seems kinda fishy to me, cause i thought they were different colors? I was like.. Dude, dont do that man! Scared me. 😆

Oh, and anyway here is a pretty good pic of where it rubs. And no i dont have the wider rear axle, but its something i want to do.

These are the only exceptions to the rule. Do we pull people over for having a GPS on the window, "not usually, but we could."

Bumpstops limiting your uptravel should easily solve this. You can probably use a YJ bumpstop if you can't find Toyota ones.

Probably not more than 100 yards from the trailers and bathrooms. What do you think of people shooting at the rubicon? Here are the pics.

Oh and i'm getting some tire rub on the front fenders, its already starting to chew up my new tires. So i need to fix that asap. I have heard of people cutting up the floor and making it more clearanced. Anyone know what i could do? I'd rather not chop up the fenders.

is that a custom bumper or was it ordered from ARB? what winch is in there?

Bumpstops are for Jeeps. 😀 If the rubbing isn't bad, I'd "massage" the fender out of the way. 8)

I didnt put it on, but i'm pretty sure it is just an ARB production one, not custom or anything. Winch is a Warn 9000XD i think. If you want pics of how it mounts up in there, let me know and i can get some.

Ya, i would rather not limit the suspension, but i will if i have to. I will try to clearance some stuff and bang some stuff out of the way.

Oh, and i added one more pic on the first page.

It looks like a 5lb sledge's worth of work. I don't know how much finessing can be done before it looks crappy.

It sure looks like the 4-runner has something limiting the uptravel of your 37's - and it's not the body!

Just use the old roll the baseball in the fenderwell trick. Get it to max compression and roll a baseball bat between the tire and the fenderwell - all fixed! lol

Out in the garage collecting parts....

Duh...it's the shocks. 🙄 I thought that's how everybody did it. 😀 Actually, I do rub the rear fenders.

The pic you have on the main page looks like a perfect fit. I didn't know it was shocks that solved the uptravel problem. It looks great!
