being new here and taking a year to get a jeep ready for this
my question is are you allowed to park at the entrance and hike this trail
weve heard a lot about this trail in canada and i would like to hike it first so i can see how much modding and building id be in for
or if someones doing a day run type thing and has a spare seat so i can see first hand wat its like i would appretiate the opportunity for a ride a long

Yes!
I have parked at the trail head and hiked a few miles into Spider Lake for a picnic many times. It's actually really enjoyable because you get to see so much that you don't see driving the trail.

I've hiked from Loon to the Springs before. I agree with Justin. Gives you a whole new perspective. Hang out and enjoy the fun spots. In general, you'll move faster than a lot of the rigs out there unless Brad, John, and Rob are out. mr-green

My boy scout troop used to park at Loon Lake and hike in to Spider as a 1st backpack trip/introduction. Easy trip with lots of GREAT scenery.

I recall my first night spent at Spider, hearing a bunch of rigs off to the north of our camp. Couldn't figure out who in their right mind would be out at that time of night. I now know what was going on. We can debate the "right mind" part another time. mr-green
