What a night last night...

We had to do our 3 month G-tube change for Shaina and when we pulled the old G-tube out she started to bleed and we attempted to put the new one back in with no luck, after an hour of trying with no luck we used our emergency folli catheter and call the hospital. They said bring her in so ER we went after a couple hours we finally got the pediatric surgery team in to get the new one in with success. Then we only had to wait for X-ray to come and make sure the G-tube was in the right place. Now we just have to play catch up for the meds and bolus that we missed last night.

But all is well we're home and Shaina is good...

Yes it was scary but luckily we have the staff at UC Davis to help take care of her. Im not sure if it's a sad thing or a good thing that everytime we go to the hospital we know someone and they come to check on Shaina

So I have been discharged as of today, finally got my pain under control with the right amount of main meds.

Shaina is doing really well also so we all should be going home soon. I will keep everyone updated on our situation as it comes along.

So everything was going good until last night. Now Shaina is having a tolerance issue with her feedings she requires around 2500ml's of fluid/feedings a day that's broken up into 5 feedings over a 24 hour period and some of her anti rejection meds have to be 2 hours before or 2 hours after a feeding, feedings take 2 hours so it a big game we're trying to figure out, luckily we have 6 different teams of Dr's helping us out.

Hopefully we can get it figured out and get home and continue the healing process at home.

I will keep everyone updated from day to day. Thank you all and we all send our love to you all!!!

So still having a little throwing up issue and now a weird rash that appears and goes away and just trying to figure it out. All her meds cause side effects but because she has no immune system they just have to make sure it's not anything else.

Anything new I'll let you know

I'm good been off my meds for about a week already, drove for the first time in over 2 weeks to get our little one Canaan yesterday so he can spend some time with us and Shaina just to make it a little more normal for both Shaina and Canaan.

They took Shaina off the main culprit of the issues she is having and that's a good thing amd it seams to be doimg better and may lead up to us going home soon... Hopefully!

So no go today Shaina is still having hypertension issues so they are changing some meds and amount to free water and sodium she is getting to see if her BP gets better. That's the last thing that's keeping us here.

They told us 7-10 days after transplant and we'd be home... ha we knew better then that
