I was thumbing through the Oct 2012 JP magazine and saw a familiar rig. Looking closer I noticed the license plate and realized it was Skorch. beer

Yeah celebrity, I don't think so. mr-green Those pictures were from a get together at Truckhaven hills. The Jeepster Commando Club has been around for over a decade now and I found there site about 8 years ago. Most of the people from there are into restoration so my rig with the butched front doesn't always go over very well. mr-green The east coast guy's have always had a Jamboree but none in the West. So I was getting cabin fever in January of this year and asked the question why East and not West. You guessed it I got suckered into it and it was a great time. I raffled off a pair of my tube doors and some other donated items and pretty much enjoyed the trip. Pete Trasborg from JP magazine owns a Jeepster and has always had an affiliation with the club so he came and hung out with us for a few days and that leads you back to the magazine article. We had a great time towed 1200 miles (Dennis in the article towed from Oregon) met some great people. beer Here's some pics, last pic is Robert Lamont sitting in my Jeepster he's 6'7" and wanted to see if he fit. 😀 If youve never been there it is worth the drive. That's something to be proud of. Good times, great people, and awe inspiring places.

Carl you got that right. "Good times, great people, and awe inspiring places" I had almost as much fun meeting some of these people than wheeling and that's ok too. By the way Pete was driving an early 90's Cherokee which was also his tent. mr-green Mark
