This morning looks like about the worst it's been so far. 🙁
As the day goes on, you can watch this link from NOAA and see the smoke come down the valley. Not much to see now since it's dark. 😀

You better go pretty high, I live at 4,000 feet on the 50 side and it's really smoky there, but it's 10-15 degrees cooler than in the valley.
We went up to Silver Lake. Mid 80's and lower as the week went on with a nice breeze. A little hazy in the AM's and more smoke in the evenings, but at least you couldn't smell it. Didn't get too much fishing in, but my daughter caught her first fish at Silver Lake.
Got to Tahoe one afternoon/evening and the smoke was real bad there and much hotter.

went to moss beach for the day. sooooooo nice. lots of people fishing, surfing, tossin the football and plenty of kids checking out thecritters in the tide pools. it was cool. o and no smoke and the weather was awesome.

Offline We spent the weekend in Sly Park campground. The smoke was considerably less than when we left Folsom on Friday. It was nice to get away, at least a little bit. Normally I like the smell of campfire smoke in the campgrounds but this weekend it would have been nice not to have it.
