Rob and I put his "whole lift" back in his Jeep yesterday. We're talking belly pan, side rails, control arms, the whole nine yards. It only took us about 4 hours and that included cleaning up some bolts, finding new hardware, setting the pinion angles, and aligning the axles. We are getting fast 😀
I used to wheel a lot. . .

Rob, just an FYI - the stock tank will just fit in the bed of the Jeep, depending upon which skid plate you have and if you intend to reuse it. The only hard part is getting the fuel filler set into a position where you're still able to get fuel into it. Mine is a pain to get gas into, you have to hold the pump handle upside down because the filler neck is almost horizontal which will kick the pump off thinking it is full.
That crossmember that they're referencing is a bunch of stamped sheet metal and pretty easy to cut through, but is a major structural component on your rig, so make sure you do something to replace it! I replaced mine with two pieces of 1" square tube (.125 wall) and my rear bumper is actually structural now and is a completely welded unit. The rear section of the frame is also square tube now on mine, but you get the idea. One of the things I still have to do is to replace the body mounts so that the rear cage mount point actually ties directly down to the frame with some tube and poly bushing. That part the only real difficulty is getting around the filler neck.
I'd also recommend doing something to keep the tank closed off from the rest of the cab for two reasons. First is the fumes, you don't want those stuck inside with you and the second is the whine that you hear from the fuel pump. It can get annoying quick!!! Also make sure you build your enclosure for your fuel tank so that the lid has some structural bracing so that you can place junk on top of it.
Oh yeah, when you move the tank more than a few inches, you're going to need to extend your fuel line. I went up to a local speed shop and picked up a couple of Earl's fittings that fit perfectly onto the stock fittings. Combined those fitting with a section of about 12" braided tube and all is fine. I think I also had to extend the wiring harness for the fuel pump too, so keep that in mind.
Out in the garage collecting parts....
